Life with P.O.T.S.,Ehlers Danos, Dysautonomia or any chronic illness under the autonomic umbrella is not easy to live with. Explore with me what it's like to live life with P.O.T.S.and Hypermobility Syndrome. I will talk about the highs and lows of these debilitating diseases. As an only child, fanatasy and acting was always part of my life growing up. I didn't have brothers and sisters so sometimes my dolls were my audience when I sang or put on a show for my Mom. So,why not use Dizzy Dabee as my alter ego when I can not post. Sometimes I won't be able to posts and that's when Dizzy Dabee will step in and give me a helping hand. Hope you enjoy my blog!

What Is POTS?

P.O.T.S. an acronym for Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. It is a rare condition that affects the autonomic nervous system. The autonomic nervous system is the one system in the body that works automatically without thinking.

Those diagnosed with P.O.T.S. have difficulty changing from the supine position to an upright position. It causes an abnormally large increase in heart rate, called tachycardia. Many patients also experience symptoms when stationary or even while lying down. Some individuals's blood pressures will plummet while others will rise dangerously high.

Symptoms present in various degrees of severity depending on the patient and where they are in the disease process. P.O.T.S. can be severely disabling and debilitating. Some individuals cannot even get out of bed, many are unable to attend school or work. Severe cases can completely incapacitate the patient.
To those afflicted with P.O.T.S.everyday is work and everyday is a challenge.

Someday we hope there will be a cure but until then my goal is to help others understand this disease and learn about POTS. For more information visit--
