Welcome To Francessca's Blog~

Life with P.O.T.S.,Ehlers Danos, Dysautonomia or any chronic illness under the autonomic umbrella is not easy to live with. Explore with me what it's like to live life with P.O.T.S.and Hypermobility Syndrome. I will talk about the highs and lows of these debilitating diseases. As an only child, fanatasy and acting was always part of my life growing up. I didn't have brothers and sisters so sometimes my dolls were my audience when I sang or put on a show for my Mom. So,why not use Dizzy Dabee as my alter ego when I can not post. Sometimes I won't be able to posts and that's when Dizzy Dabee will step in and give me a helping hand. Hope you enjoy my blog!

Will You Help Dizzy Dabee Travel Around The World?

Hi Potsie Friends,
My name is Francessca and I am the creator and designer of ©Dizzy Dabee. I thought it would be fun to send Dizzy Dabee around the world. This is where I need your help.
Get out your crayons, markers and stickers then go ahead and right click "save picture as" and then print out Dizzy Dabee. Once you print her then I would like you to decorate her the way you want and but you include something about your state or country so they know where she traveled.
For instance, if you are from Australia maybe you could Australia on the  flag and maybe draw a koala bear or a kangaroo. Make the art your own and let everyone know Dizzy Dabee had a wonderful trip to Australia or the USA, England etc...
I will start the journey. Here is my artwork of Dizzy Dabee as you can see she is visiting Maryland. There will be people from the same state and that's okay because everyone's art work is unique.
My goal is to see how far Dizzy Dabee can travel around the world. Therefore, tell your POTSie friends and family. Have fun with this project and once you finish your artwork of Dizzy Dabee then scan and send to DizzyDabee@comcast.net and put "Traveling Dabe" in subject line. Please include your name, age, state, country and something unique about yourself. Your art work will be posted right here Dizzy Dabee Travels
At the end of year, we will have a poll to vote which Dizzy Dabee is the best. The winner will receive a special prize. (To be announced)

So I went to the Dr's today. Not too fatigued, sitting here watching south park.
Found out I need to get my tonsills out. Hopefully not a big pots set back. They are gonna keep me over night for observation because of my pots.

I'm going to the pain clinic soon at Kennedy Krieger. They want to keep me for a month (or more) but hopefully I can be outpatient.

I recently saw a really cute Jewish boy in the Dr's office. I really want a nice Jewish husband when I grow up.

That's about all I have to say. About to go guest blog for the Dysautonomiacs

Drs tomorrow (sorry no catchy name for this post )

I decided to post tonight because I'm seeing Dr Rowe the pots Dr tomorrow
and his appointment usually run long like maybe four hours but you sure do learn allot.
I'm  usually really fatigue after  and then the ENT to see if i need to get my tonsils out. I'm not nervous just hope it wont set my pots back. I really hope they figure out why i keep choking its getting very annoying and making me sick. Hope I'm not getting GI issues that would really suck.
I really understand what they say about how an illness makes you stronger and a better person
Here's five things I've learned from being sick:

1) Always appreciate what you can do  and thank God for all the good things in your life. For example:I have two eyes that work , I can talk and walk even if I cant stand long and I have a wonderful mom.

2) From being sick you tend to appreciate hanging with friends  and family.

3) I would've never even thought of wanting to be a nurse in pediatric oncology.
Sick kids are usually a turn off, till you are one yourself.

4) You really learn to cherish every moment , like taking a bite of strawberry cheese cake from Ruby Tuesdays. You just wanna savor every bite. And you want to take time to smell the daises.

5) Over all an illness can really change your way of thinking and your prospective of the world.

Well my hands are locking up so I guess its time to sign off.

Neurotically Nauseous

Last night and today I've been super duper  nauseous. Oh jeez, i sound like Barney, the dinosaur. Fun fact, I can do the Barney voice lol.
Surprisingly I'm not too fatigued  considering I barely slept last night.
It's funny my mom can usually bribe me with the word store and I somehow always manage to go :) I find sea bands really work wonders, you can buy them for about $5 dollars in your choice of black or blue (hehe like a bruise ). Here's what they look like:

I currently am wearing mine right now.Lately they have become my new best friend.  I used to wear them just for car rides but  I've been very nauseous the past few days no matter what I eat.  Sea bands work for nausea, motion sickness, sea sickness even chemo. I read it on the label.  I also find that Pepto-Bismal helps too .

It's odd for me to barely eat. I like food. I've been having trouble swallowing so I'm not even looking forward to my next meal. I hate choking on my own saliva, it's really embarrassing gagging in a restaurant . I'm supposed to have some test done soon so ill keep everyone posted.

Infectious Insomnia

I know I should go to bed considering i have PT (physical therapy )
tomorrow. I have insomnia that's a fancy word for saying I cant sleep.

So... i  figured id write some more. You already know my name but I bet you don't know these few fun facts about me ?

1) I love the color pink. My favorite shade is candy pink.

2) I am a very picky eater and hate veggies except corn.

3) I love spicy food  probably because I am Peruvian American.

4)  I know the alphabet in ASL (American sign language). I want to learn more so I am fluent.

5) My dream is to star on Disney channel and meet Joe Jonas.

Bet most of you didn't know that  did you ?  Another thing about me is that I'm not afraid to say whats on my mind. I'm not the best speller in the world , and I hate punctuation. (Sometimes my Mom edits my work which drives me crazy but she's an author and hates seeing me write endless sentences.)

Intro - Francessca

For an introduction, I'm Francessca :) I figured for my first post I would write the first introduction unfortunately pots said, "not going to happen". Instead I spent my evening on the couch.

BTW pots did I remember to tell you that I hate you ?
Thank you Dabee for stepping in for me.

Anyways lets talk about stuff that gets on my nerves. Captchas bother me allot.  Its really hard to type them. It took me twenty minutes just to set up my blog account. Grrrr... Don't they realize i have pots and my sitting time is limited? lol

What do you picture or what comes to mind when you think of Pots ?

Intoductions

With some fabric, buttons,a little bit of fluff and some beautiful purple yarn for my long flowing hair my owner has designed me into Dizzy Dabee the Dysautonomia ragdoll. This is a picture she drew of me a long time ago. I have been many years in the making probably as many years as she's had P.O.T.S. I bet.

My owner is having a rough day. She had to go to the doctor's this morning and as you know if you too have P.O.T.S. like me and my owner that it can take allot out of a person. Gosh, don't I know it.

I have watched her through many bad times but we have had many good times too. Just like me, her bad times can mean a lot of dizziness, pain, fainting, nausea, fatigue and having trouble with her body locking up. I hate it when she's in pain cause when she's in pain so am I.

I hate it when she gets fatigued and sick as I get stuck in her bed all day. Sometimes I don't mind though cause I don't feel so good. My owner likes to squeeze me. She forgets I am full of fluff and almost squeezes the stuffing out of me. Geesh...what does she think I am--a doll?

On her good days she takes me to play with baby Sophia. What a lot of fun that can be...well sometimes. Sophia tosses me high into the air and she and Francessca will catch me before I come down for a hard landing. Sophia is funny especially when she tries to beep my nose.

Sometimes when my owner is sick I may have to write for Francessca and share my experiences (like today) when she isn't feeling good. So,I guess you can say I will be a guest blogger. Didn't know rag doll's could write did you? Well, you aren't looking at a normal ragdoll---I am Dizzy Dabee.
